Category 4: Targeting Cookies or Advertising Cookies

These cookies are used to deliver adverts which are more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaign. They are usually placed by advertising networks with Southern Regional College’s permission. They remember that you have visited a website and this information is shared with other organisations such as advertisers. Quite often targeting or advertising cookies will be linked to site functionality provided by the other organisation.

  • Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat/TikTok/YouTube - we use conversion tracking which enables us to track visitors who have been referred through a Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat/TikTok or YouTube page, application or advertisement. Information regarding your visit will be shared with these channels but this will not include any personal information or information specific to your application if you are completing an online application.
