Overview
This Level 2 Diploma will guide and assess development of knowledge and skills relating to children’s care, learning and development (early learning and childcare, and the learning development and support services). The qualification confers occupational competence for childcare, learning and development in Northern Ireland. This qualification prepares you to work with children and young people, under supervision, in a range of settings, including nurseries and day care. Work placement would be completed in a range of settings including nurseries and daycare.
To complete this part-time course, you will attend College one evening or day per week and spend 3 days on work placement. Your practical skills will be assessed in practice by a workplace assessor.
