  • Level 3
  • Further Education
  • Newry Campus

Overview

This course is being delivered to meet the increasing needs of coaches who want to coach at the top level within club, college and county team structures. It recognises that these GAA Coaches need to be skilled in all aspects of coaching, mentoring and sport education. The course of study is set up as a single module from the OCN NI Level 3 Diploma in Performance Coaching for Gaelic Sports.

The unit of study (Using Technology and Physical Preparation in Gaelic Sports) will enable learners to identify components of physical fitness, to compare demands of different team positions and analyse the training implications. Learners will compare the use of technology and the impact of subsequent results on training programmes.
