Overview

This course is fully funded as part of the Skills Focus Programme. To qualify, your business or social enterprise must have less than 250 employees and you must be based in Northern Ireland and operate for profit.

This qualification will enable learners to obtain a knowledge and understanding of the importance of food safety and hygiene, food safety hazards, good hygiene practices and controls and will provide an awareness of food safety management systems. It is regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to the understanding and maintaining good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food and is recommended for all food handlers.
